{"id":776,"date":"2022-09-05T12:20:15","date_gmt":"2022-09-05T12:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yareport.com\/?p=776"},"modified":"2022-09-06T08:27:45","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T08:27:45","slug":"youtube-terminated-britains-most-racist-youtuber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yareport.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/05\/youtube-terminated-britains-most-racist-youtuber\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTube terminated \u201cBritain\u2019s most racist YouTuber\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>YouTube has terminated a channel used by an extremist, named \u201cBritain\u2019s most racist YouTuber\u201d for breaching its hate speech policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Owens used codewords and euphemisms to bypass automated monitoring on the video platform and broadcast attacks on Jewish and black people, YouTube said it had terminated the channel used by the extremist, who operated under the codename \u201cthe ayatollah\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter review, we quickly terminated the Tollahvision channel for repeated violations of our <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/youtube\/answer\/2801939?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"hate speech policy\">hate speech policy<\/a>, which strictly prohibits content that promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on certain attributes. We enforce this policy rigorously and removed over 95,000 videos for violating our hate speech policy in the first three months of 2022,\u201d said a YouTube spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Red Flare, an independent collective that exposes far right in Britain, has tracked content produced by Owens, who also used a fake profile picture and disguised his voice with an accent, since 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cJames Owens is Britain\u2019s most racist YouTuber.
